The Disabled American Veterans organization will be issuing up to $500 in disaster funds per applicant for losses related to recent floods. To be eligible for a DAV disaster relief grant, the applicant must be a service connected disabled veteran, his/her widow or dependent. They must have incurred a non compensated loss as a result of the recent flooding. Eligible applicants are encouraged to go to one of the following locations to submit applications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. TODAY, Thursday, Aug. 21: Wayne County Veterans Service Division, 28 West Adams Street, 17th Floor, Detroit Macomb County Veteran’s Office, 21885 Dunham Road, Suite 3, Clinton Township Oakland County Veterans Service Division, 1200 North Telegraph Road, Building 26E, Pontiac
