The Disillusionment of Practice: During a yoga class today my student expressed to me how she really wanted to get to the level where she could go into a pose and feel free and easy, and keep it this way. Although this can happen it doesnt usually until after many years of practice. But even when it does, the truth is it is always an uphill climb or downhill slide filled with peaks, plateaus and valleys. Let us not be disillusioned about what it takes to practice and start moving our body in free, and easy ways. It is a lot of hard work, sometimes painful and uncomfortable. But the fruits are the benefits of both a freer body and mind. And let us also not forget that practice is always a work in progress. We are never finished from practice. My husband has sometimes asked me after my practice, Youre finished? And I answered: I am never finished. #fortheloveofpracticeandtruth #sadhana
