The Division bench of the Hon’ble P& H High Court comprising of Justice M Jeyapaul and Justice Lisa Gill have showcased monumental impetus in dealing with the offence of Contempt of Court by Mr. Rampal (aka Jagatguru Shri Rampal ji Maharaj ). The Court has observed that Contemnor Rampal is under the wrong impression that he cannot be reached even by the long arms of law. When the majesty of law is browbeaten by a contemnor, this court has the authority to direct the state machinery to employ its mighty force to reach the contemnor to smoke him out even if he holes up in bunker. Further, the Court has ordered that if Rampal could not be produced by the state on November 17 before it, then DGP and Home Secretary of Haryana would have to remain present in the courtroom. The State Government has reportedly deployed 5 SPs, 20 DSPs and over 30,000 police personnel alongwith 14 CRPF & 2 RAF battalions for complying with the Court’s order. It would certainly be a big challenge for the administration to arrest Rampal without getting into direct confrontation with his followers. But, kudos to the revered judges who have re-instilled the faith of this nation in the Rule of Law and have yet again re-established the supremacy of the Judiciary. They have sent a striking message that the Courts possess unparalleled powers to combat any attempts directed towards challenging their authority. #RealBigBoss
