The "Do Not Use" ban was lifted on Kootenay River in part, because - TopicsExpress

The "Do Not Use" ban was lifted on Kootenay River in part, because an official PSA announcement (August 7th), said there was no "observable or detectable" Jet Fuel present. The "Do Not Use" ban was hastily lifted on the remaining portions of the Slocan River and Lemon Creek as well. However, there is clearly "observable and detectable" Jet Fuel product in many places along the river, especially in slower moving parts of the river, back eddies, marshy areas, etc. I would like to ask Executive Flight Centre, Interior Health, and the Ministry of Environment, where is the logic in PSA releases approved by them. How come it applies to the Kootenay River and not the Slocan River and Lemon Creek. I think it is very clear to the residents of the Slocan Valley that there is "observable and detectable" Jet Fuel product washed up on our public beaches, found in and around rocks, seeped into the sand, caught in log-jams, and left upon the banks as water levels in the river become lower and lower. Families and children are playing and swimming in the river, people are told their water is safe to drink in spite of the fact that "observable and detectable" Jet Fuel is showing up in public areas. It makes one wonder in shock and disbelief: just how complicit, at the highest levels of the Provincial Government, is the Ministry of Environment, Snc-Lavelin, Interior Health Authority, and the Executive Flight Centre involved?
