The Dogon are an African tribe that claim to have been visited by god-like beings who descended from the Sirius star system. What is fascinating about their account is that they claim that these beings gave them precise cosmological knowledge that they should have not known about. For example, the Dogon knew that the star Sirius A had a companion star and they knew their orbits even though it was invisible from earth. Modern science finally caught up with this knowledge in the 1970s. Here is some evidence that suggests that our ancestors may in fact have been visited by space travellers from another planet.
