The Downtown Dalton Saturday Market will take place this Saturday, rain or shine. In the case of rain, the Market will move under the Whitfield County parking deck on Selvidge Street. Otherwise, the Market will continue in the extended section of Dalton Green Park on the corner of Waugh Street and Thornton Avenue. In addition to handmade arts and crafts, homemade baked goods, and fresh eggs and pork products; the Market has also added several new produce vendors this year. The produce growing season is now well under way after a delay at the beginning of the summer because of the cooler, wetter weather the region had experienced. The Saturday Market is every Saturday, May through August, in Dalton Green Park from 9 am to 1 pm.
