The Downy Woodpecker is a resilient little bird and a year round - TopicsExpress

The Downy Woodpecker is a resilient little bird and a year round resident of the park. Their bodies have adapted to repeated hammering of trees by having strong bills and neck muscles, and a reinforced skull and brain in a protective cranium. Pecking away in rain and snow, these birds sure know how to find enough food to survive the ever-changing spring weather in the park! ch (video taken by VIP Schonlau)
