The Drag racing world lost another one of its greats, Jack Werst, Mr Five and Fifty passed away this past week. Sponsored by local area Plymouth dealers, the name was intended to remind everyone of Chryslers Five year Fifty Thousand mile warranty, unheard of at the time. Jack was a great drag racer and a really nice guy. At the York re-union several years ago we sat talking for a couple of hours about the Good Ole Days. RIP our friend Mr Five and Fifty Jack Werst.
