The Dukes of Hazzard. Ive always enjoyed the first line or so - TopicsExpress

The Dukes of Hazzard. Ive always enjoyed the first line or so of the introductory song, as performed by Waylon Jennings. It goes something like this: Just the good ole boys, never meaning no harm, beats all you never saw been in trouble with the Law since the day they was born. Id love to go into some deep interpretation behind those lyric(s) (there is stuff to talk about), but perhaps another time, and/or another forum. I would rather just recall right now - Im pretty good at doing that. Bo and Luke, Daisy and Uncle Jesse - the whole family - the Dukes (+Cletus, of course)- were quite a bunch. Boss Hogg, Roscoe P. Coltraine, and of course, Enus (who seemed to be more of a friend than foe (especially to Daisy)) - were always chasing and being chased. Good, clean, back hills fun. Daisy, more so than any other I think, will go down in history as being the inventor of the shorts that all men (save two types) love the most. Im not sure if Comcast still has that show on TV - I dont remember seeing it as I have been flipping through the channels, but, if I saw it somewhere, Id definitely watch it - if, for nothing else, the nostalgia. It would be like going back in time to my childhood - when the grass was greener, the sky was bluer, and the summers as free as you can imagine. Bo and Luke. YeeHaw!
