The Duo Duo Animal Welfare Project is a group of Chinese activists active in China to stop theft and illegal slaughter of cats and dogs. Not only do they rescue, rehab and re-home the animals, they do so by blockading trucks with their own bodies, sometimes even lying down in front of trucks (as seen in the photo). This is so admirable because not only are they going through the emotional trauma of rescuing animals in shocking conditions, they also have to go to extreme, dangerous and confrontation lengths to get the animals in the first place. Ive been following this group for a while and I think they are excellent.
