The EQUAL PROTECTION CLAUSE, part of the 14TH AMENDMENT in the US - TopicsExpress

The EQUAL PROTECTION CLAUSE, part of the 14TH AMENDMENT in the US CONSTITUTION established in 1868 states, that NO State shall deny to ANY person within their jurisdiction the equal protection of the law. Section 1 states, Nor shall ANY state deprive people of LIFE, liberty, or property without DUE PROCESS of the law. Recent public displays of deadly force by law enforcement are denying people the right of DUE PROCESS and depriving undeserving people of LIFE. These are not the values that this country was built upon, United States of America is one of the greatest countries on earth because of these previously established values, rights, and laws. ALL citizens of America have the RIGHT to protest these wrong doings taking place all over the world and that is good. Our government is to represent the citizens not rule over them. These issues with law enforcement and use of excessive force had to be confronted, the people fear that there is corruption.
