The ESPN Game at Yankee Stadium didnt start until after 8 pm. On the way home, after the Subway and bus rides, whirlwinds had gathered bunches of loose papers and bags, tossing and swirling them around. 86th & Lexington are usually packed with people and crowds; this was unique to be entertained by trash and dodging plastic ballooning everywhere! The Yankees won thanks to a run scored by Brian McCann! I didnt get home until 1:30 am. This upcoming weekend Ill get to see our young Warriors, the sweetheart darling Braves! They play the Mets at Citi-Field. Yesterday I saw the New York Public Library exhibit, Ladies and Gentlemen: The Beatles. It honors the 50th anniversary of their USA Invasion. Afterwards I watched Paul McCartneys 1984 movie, Give My Regards to Broad Street. Many of us old ladies melted when he sang Yesterday on the silver screen. It was a gorgeous Spring day! I also used the morning for planning. Individual Tribeca Film Festival tickets were released starting at 11 am. I checked early and 20 minutes until 11, I got a ticket to my dream event: Tribeca Director Talk featuring Ron Howard, with Brian Williams moderating. It will be at 3 on April 26th. Opie!!!!! I also lined up attending a discussion that Henry Kissinger will have at a local Synagogue soon. He wrote Diplomacy in 1994 and I called and located a First Edition to buy. Ill pick it up today and take it to the event. I hope to get it signed by him. Wish me luck! Rachael Rays favorite Pizza place is near the book store, so Im finally going to it for lunch. Later Im heading for the Met to attend Madame Butterfly.
