The ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS is warmth and security for the under privilege , the homeless, the disregarded and all the demoralized. We cannot celebrate without remembering the deteriorating socio-economic and political conditions across the entire country and particularly in our city. Despite the rest of our forgotten necessities , hope is rekindled and the spirit is uplifted. Whether we like it or not, indifferent personalities cannot halt the dissemination of the good news. Verily, some leaders can postpone the certainty of change for a while, but not forever. Our hope is still alive. The forces of evil will never steal Christmas because all of us will warm your hearts, with good faith and prepare to share our hopes for the less fortunate. The children of the poor will be nourished by our visionary voices and acts of righteousness. Many have said several times that they will not be able to celebrate Christmas without sending messages of love and happy faces to the children of the poor. Our apologies to those who are ignored: forgive us our shortcomings since we are not able to learn the lessons of the past ; forgive us for not being able to reject corruption ; forgive us for the sins committed in the name of public service ; forgive us for not honoring the messages of equality and human dignity. We want to assure all of you that the essential message of Christmas is that we have the choice to improve your quality of life. The poor of the city are searching desperately for good news to tell the world. We feel the Christmas message could get louder : Reach out to those you fear ; Touch the heart of complexity ; Imagine beyond what is seen ; Risk vulnerability one step at a time. The ultimate goal is about what has been entrusted for us to do in this world: the birth of the distant dream that we look up to in our daily lives. May the blessings of God prevail on all the people irrespective of status , wealth , profession or education . May the ray of God lead us to the road of justice, recovery , goodness and comfort.
