“The Eagle has landed.” Today marks the 45th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing by Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong...Buzz, from one frontier to another, thank you again for your great contribution to space exploration, and to our Nation ...and to Alaska! A decade ago, after my wife Carol passed away, you came to Alaska and helped raise funds for the SeaTrain which took 10,000 kids to the Alaska SeaLife Center. Funds raised also helped fund scholarships to send students to the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska. You came again in 2013 to inspire the students at the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program. You have also enjoyed and helped protect the Kenai River and we hope to see you again this summer.
