The Eagles improved to 8-3 with yesterdays 43-24 rout of Tennessee, setting up a Thanksgiving afternoon showdown with the division rival Dallas, who is also 8-3 and tied with the Eagles atop the division. Philly jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead against the Titans, as Josh Huff took the opening kickoff to the house. The return was officially listed as 107 yards. Philadelphia quarterback Mark Sanchez would throw for 307 yards and a touchdown against two picks in the victory. Dallas, meanwhile, needed a late-game comeback to stay tied with the Eagles atop the NFC East. The Giants took a four-point lead with three minutes to play before Dallas mounted a drive of its own, taking the lead for good on a Tony Romo to Dez Bryant touchdown pass with 1:01 remaining. Cowboys win it, 31-28, setting up this Thursdays showdown in Big D. Two games remain in Week 12 of the Merf Morning Shows Pigskin Pick Em contest, the regularly scheduled Monday night game between Baltimore and New Orleans, as well as that Bills-Jets game that was moved do to the record-setting snowfall in upstate New York. Valerie Meyers has a one-game lead for the weekly prize from Mikes OIP. Bret Pallotto and Ryan Blake are close behind. Ten others are still mathematically alive, just two games out. As for the Week 11 tiebreaker, Eric Pallotto is the leader, one game better than Aaron Diehl. Melissa Pallotto and this weeks leader, Valerie Meyers, are two games back.
