The Eagles of Stockton, Calif., #83 got creative this holiday season, salvaging 65 bicycles to donation to children at Mary Graham Hall. The majority of the bikes were reclaimed from a local dump, with Eagles cleaning and repairing the bicycles in time for Christmas. Members worked with the children receiving the bikes to repair them, teaching the children the necessary techniques to make fixes on their own. The project took three months to finish. Bikes were given away Friday, Dec. 19, during a special dinner hosted at the Aerie. Santa Claus made an appearance at the event to pass out additional gifts.
