The Earth is our Gym Working out is the fun part of living a healthy lifestyle. You can workout almost anywhere you are, look around you and be creative. Here are some ideas for you to try out: 1) ROAD CHALLENGE: Jog from one ESB pole to the next --> now, walk to the next pole --> pick up the pace again and jog forward to the next. This is called interval training, you will find that your mind is occupied and youll run further than you think. 2) HILL CLIMB: Find a steep hill, run/power walk going up it and then walk down. Do this 5-10 times depending on your fitness level. If you do this regularly you will feel less out of breath and much stronger. 3) COUNTER PUSH UPS: Lean towards your kitchen counter and hold onto it firmly now start pushing your body weight up and back. Start with x10 movements at a time and then increase it as you go on. 4) STAIR WALK: Take big steps up the stairs and tip toe down. Start with x10 rounds up and down the stairs and then increase it to more. This is a variation of the Lunge exercise which brilliant for strengthening your legs and core muscles. 5) BEACH PYRAMID: Form a triangle with three separate pieces of seaweed/wood spaced 10 meters apart. Jog from A to B --> Squat x10 times, now side shuffle from B to C and get down for x5 Push-Ups! Sprint from C to A and that is one round. Do this circuit 5 times and you will feel awesome. This is only five examples of exercises you can do that are all at your finger tips, what are you waiting for? You will gain a sense or achievement that money cant buy. Movement = Happiness.
