The Easter Bunny is coming to town, and it’s bringing more than 3,000 candy-filled Easter eggs and prizes for the children of Fostoria. The City’s Annual Easter Egg Scramble is slated for April 12 at Fostoria Intermediate Elementary School. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and the scramble begins at 11 a.m. in the auxiliary gym. The event will be hosted indoors for the second year in a row to guarantee the best egg scrambling conditions. Age groups 3 to 4 will begin the scramble, ages 5 to 7 will scramble at 11:15 a.m. and ages 8 to 10 will scramble at 11:30 a.m. Children age two and under will receive a free goody bag in lieu of scrambling. No registration is required to participate. Participants must bring their own basket or bag to collect eggs. The Easter Bunny will be present to take pictures with children. This free, public event is sponsored by the City of Fostoria and First Federal Bank; venue provided by Fostoria City Schools. Non-profit organizations may set up Easter-themed activity tables of their choice at the event at no cost. To register a non-profit group booth or for more event information, call the Mayor’s Office at 419-435-8282.
