The Easter message of Pope Francis was clear and unambiguous in its condemnation of excess wealth/consumption/greed, and call for Gods healing in afflicted places of the world. He spoke in specifics. How different from the discipline/dogma/religious liberty talk on American prelates on the Sunday shows. Clearly, we need a new generation of U.S. bishops who live simply, engage with believers and non-believers alike, make common cause with fellow people of faith, witness for justice and Christs love, and walk humbly before the Lord.
