The Ebola initiative in Australia continue to gain momentum as all - TopicsExpress

The Ebola initiative in Australia continue to gain momentum as all Sierra Leoneans from every states are making frantic efforts to raise awareness and solicit funds from the Australian communities they reside. The coordinator of the Australian initiative Mr Ansumana Koroma Policy Analyst from Tasmania government has just returned to Tasmania from trips at Sydney and Melbourne meeting with a cross section of community leaders there where he helped galvanized their efforts to commence a vigorous campaign on sensitization efforts and fundraising. Please see photos of Mr Koroma and a cross section of members in NSW and VICTORIA. It is hoped that a national committee comprising representatives from the different states in Australia will converge in one Australian capital to discuss how we can pull all our resources and efforts together to do our first transfer of equipments and cash to ebola stricken Sierra Leone. I want to congratulate the efforts made by all sectors of the Sierra Leonean communities in Australia where we have put politics to the back burner for a while and promote Ebola consciousness. We are moving in the right direction and we in Australia are working together as partners in this initiative, and in peace. I also congratulate Mr Koroma for his leadership to help coordinate all efforts. Aside from that our Cairns community is having a massive fundraising barbecue this weekend which will be fully covered by the media. Stay tuned for more updates on this.
