The Ebola outbreak in Liberia has led to the death of plenty of our citizens whether suspected or confirmed Ebola cases. The CDC Country Director in Liberia Dr .Tom Friedon said on BBC ( Friday 29, August 2014, Focus on Africa) and some local radio station in Liberia that the previous suspected, probable and confirmed Ebola corpses that were buried earlier were buried improperly before the burning of bodies began, he continue there are needs that the government correct their mistakes now before it cause another epidemic in the future. According to him, those corpses may cause future epidemics again after five or ten years period due to the fact that they were not properly buried and some were buried to locations around water bodies, towns and villages. He said the epidemic could be Ebola, Ebola related or another disease or virus. He then recommended that the Liberian government dig out and re-bury the previous suspected, probable and confirmed Ebola corpses. What i dont understand is no media entity, not even the print or the electronic entities carried the story on their network or news; I dont even want to mention if they or one of the entities tried to emphasize on the point the CDC representative is making. It is true that we are fighting Ebola war but we should be careful whilst we solve another problem then another problem arises. He made these statements after touring the Country and receiving information from some parts of the Liberia. To be frank with you, I m in Lofa county, there is no particular Ebola related burial sites designated for Ebola related bodies in towns, villages, districts or cities. In fact before the burning of copses in Monrovia began the burial teams were conducting burial in every place they could find around the neighborhood the person died from. I hope the Environmental protection Agency of Liberia will be given chance, space, opportunity, logistical, support and funding to perform her duties as it relates to the re-burial and sitting of grave sites. This entity (EPA) is very important in the fight against the Ebola outbreak and the management of the environment because the soil is where the suspected, probable and confirmed dead bodies are buried into in the absent of burning the bodies. I m suggest that every media entity in Liberia pick up this topic and emphasize on it before after fighting the Ebola then we have another epidemic outbreak in Liberia due to the improper burying of suspected, probable , confirmed Ebola bodies mainly in the interior parts of the country. I also want to count on every Liberian in Liberia or out of Liberia including everyone to begin talking about this now to avoid another epidemic in Liberia. photo of participants at one of the Regular Ebola up -date meetings in Voinjama City, Lofa County
