The Elfin Child In the 1950s London was not the healthiest - TopicsExpress

The Elfin Child In the 1950s London was not the healthiest place to grow up. With the majority of homes burning coal to keep warm between Autumn and Spring whenever there was a fog it mixed with the smoke issuing from the chimneys to formsmog, a mixture that wouldresult in respiratory problems in the young and old alike. An eleven-year-old boy had suffered from a range of childhood illnesses, far more common then than now and a particularly badwinter of smogs had left him weak and sickly. His parents decided that he should visit his Aunt during the summer holidays to recuperate. His Aunt lived in the country where the air was fresh and a break from the city could only do him good. What they, nor indeed the boys aunt could have known was that magical forces were at work that would change the boy forever.
