The Embassy of Canada to El Salvador signed an agreement for $20,000 CAD with the parliamentary women association “Asociación de Mujeres Parlamentarias y Ex Parlamentarias de El Salvador (ASPARLEXSAL)”, to develop the project entitled “Promoting Increased Participation and Representation of Women in El Salvador’s Democratic Institutions”. This project aims to promote increased participation and representation of women in the face of El Salvador’s upcoming legislative and Municipal Elections, through a media campaign. The Campaign will be targeted to electors (the public) to vote for women (no reference to political parties) in order to decrease discrimination against women for positions of power (especially in politics) #WomenInPolitics #Democracy
