The Energy Innovation Cooperative is pleased to offer a house and property tour on Sunday 13th October. Come and see an inspirational sustainable home powered by a micro-hydro electric system and wood-fired hydronic heating, surrounded by a productive farm growing 300 to 400 kilograms of garlic per year. ---------------------------------------------- Ever wondered what you’d do if you had plenty of flowing water year-round? Power your home, of course! That’s exactly what Leon Trembath has done on his 34-hectare property near Madalya in the Strzelecki Ranges. Home to dozens of species of native birds and other wildlife, the property is regenerating temperate rainforest, with all but 2 hectares under Trust for Nature Covenant. When : Sunday 13th October at 1PM How to get there To save on travel costs the Co-op will be running a bus to the property, leaving from Coal Creek, Korumburra, at 11AM, for the low cost of $20 return.
