The Environment Protection Authority ( EPA) advised Lachlan Shire - TopicsExpress

The Environment Protection Authority ( EPA) advised Lachlan Shire Council this evening (Thursday 3 July 2014) that it has received a report of fuel contamination in a ground water monitoring bore in Lake Cargelligo. This bore is NOT part of Lachlan Shire Council’s drinking water network. The current Lake Cargelligo Town Water Supply is NOT impacted by this contamination. This alert is for those people drawing water from bores that are NOT part of Council’s Network. If you draw your water from these sources it is recommended you contact the EPA for further information. Council is unable to provide any further details so enquiries for more information need to be made directly with the NSW Government Environment Line on 131555.
