The Equalizer. ( 2014 ) Action. Good old Denzel Washington . . . You cant go wrong with a Denzel flick right? Wrong. 😔 For me lately Denzel has been signing on to do bad movies. The other bad one being Safe House. His acting ability is still top notch but the story for the Equalizer starts off very interesting then as the second act comes to a close you learn their is no more twists. Just Denzel kicking ass over a hooker that was beat up by her pimp. Crap, just told the whole story . . . This movie has some highs. Shot very well and the soundtrack is good too. But its not on the level of Training Day, Man on Fire, American Gangster etc. But if you want a typical action film you will enjoy The Equalizer. But for me the rating is 5/10 . . .
