The Eric Garner story has, to me, no comparisons whatsoever to the Michael Brown story. I know that you can use the resisting arrest argument but he told them 11 times that he could not breathe and even when he was gasping, they kept the cuffs on him. Cuffs like that behind his back easily could restrict breathing. But why did they force the arrest. Why did they not hear him out? He was mad instead, they take him down. It just seems to me that trained officers should know when the best time is to arrest someone in a defused situation and furthermore, they should identify if a man is having trouble breathing. He was stating that he was being messed with and told them to leave him alone. This was not going to end well but did he really have to die over it? Records show that he was really a good man.
