The Erskine Citizen of the Year competition was run over the - TopicsExpress

The Erskine Citizen of the Year competition was run over the summer months by the Community Council with ballot boxes in four strategic places in the town and advertising on Facebook and in shops to encourage participation. The idea proved to be a success with joint winners – Mohammed Razzaq and Mohammed Iqbal – popularly known as Zach and Iqbal - who run the General Store at Park Glade shops. Zach and Iqbal were nominated by many people because of their friendly spirit, helpfulness and contribution to the community. The presentation of certificates was done on Thursday the 7th of August by Councillor Sam Mullin during the monthly Community Council meeting. Well done Zach and Iqbal! The Community Council hopes to run a similar competition next year and will adjust it to allow for email and Facebook voting. Thank you to everyone who took part.
