The Eskaenturu Jungle is well known to Threllish scholars as a place full of mystery and danger. There is, perhaps, no greater evidence of the jungles life-giving power than the existence of the Umakosi. Known to outsiders as tree people, the Umakosi claim to be descendants of a mythical treant druid, who they call IkaOnyena, or Old Lifegiver. The Umakosi are wise and powerful caretakers of their jungle home. They protect a vast swath of primal terrain that only a few have been able to penetrate. Even fewer of those brave souls have returned to share stories of what they found within.
