The European Parliament has recognized Armenia as an occupier October 23, 2013 , 21:25 Today, during the plenary session of the European Parliament adopted a draft resolution on the European Neighbourhood Policy . According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, in paragraph 16 of resolution the European Parliament said that the occupation by one state that is a member of the Eastern Partnership in another state that participates in this program, is a violation of the fundamental principles and objectives of the Eastern partnership. In this context, highlighted the importance of the settlement of the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict on the basis of the adopted in 1993, four UN Security Council resolutions and the basic principles of the OSCE Minsk Group , which have been recorded in LAquila Joint Statement of July 10, 2009 . The resolution for the first time emphasized that the Armenian- Azerbaijani conflict should be resolved in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council , which require the immediate, complete and unconditional withdrawal of occupying forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, as well as ensuring the territorial integrity, sovereignty and inviolability of borders of Azerbaijan.
