The European Union, UNDP and Virtues Project International have forged a new partnership that is expected to empower the residents of Koroipita settlement, outside Lautoka. The Virtues Project is an international initiative focused on building peaceful and caring communities based on values such as compassion, integrity and mutual respect. Through community forums, the project teaches positive behaviour and attitudes to individuals in communities that enable them to contribute to healthy and supportive environments. In Fiji, this project is being implemented by Virtues Project Fiji under UNDPs Strengthening Citizens Engagement in Fiji Initiative and is supported by the European Union.
