The Evidence. James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, - TopicsExpress

The Evidence. James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. We all have something that we hope for, something that is out of our reach right now but we hope for it - we hope that soon enough, we will reach it. That is faith. Believing that what you hope for and what you need/want (which has not yet come) you will receive it. Hebrews 11:1 says Now faith is the SUBSTANCE (solidness, surity, reality) of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE (proof, an indication of something, ground for belief) of things NOT SEEN. If you say I see myself healed, we ask we dont see that, wheres your proof? How do you see yourself healed? You will say I believe it, that is my evidence. I believe the word my Father God has spoken over me. Your faith is your proof of what you dont see yet. But it doesnt end there. James tells us faith is not the only prerequisite. He says its dead when its alone, your evidence is not complete. What are you doing that says you are healed? Are you laying in bed all day and crying? Or singing songs of praise, getting treated, planning for the future because you see and know that you are healed? Let your evidence be complete that you may draw to your hands what you hope for.
