The Excitement Never Ends – Being that we were busy with the inn on my birthday weekend, we final got around to fulfilling the promise of a night on the town to celebrate my turning 62! With my mom in tow, we decided on a favorite Italian restaurant in Asheville. We neglected to remember a news item we had seen on local broadcast that morning. Certain sections of downtown Asheville would be closed and streets blocked to facilitate film crews shooting a new movie starring Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis and Kristen Wiig. The working title is ‘Loomis Fargo’ and follows the storyline of a 1997 armored car robbery that took place in Charlotte. While the detours steered us clear of the serious activity tying up the city. . . the cioppino was robust and flavorful, while the sauvignon blank was herbaceous and grassy. ~ Dale
