The Executive Committee of the Supreme Court Bar Association has decided to appoint the following members as Election Committee and to hold SCBA elections on 17th December, 2014 by circular resolution dated 30.10.2014. 1. Mr. Shekhar Naphade, Senior Advocate, Chairman 2. Mr. Altaf Ahmed, Senior Advocate, Co-Chairman 3. Mr. Jitendra Mohan Sharma, Senior Advocate, Convener 2. I would also like to inform that the SCBA in its General Body Meeting dated 14.10.2014 has passed the following Resolution 1(a) by 2/3rd majority i.e. Resolution No.1(a) Resolved that no member of the Bar shall be eligible to hold any one post for more than 4 years in his/her life time and the same is now the part of the SCBA Rules: 3. In terms of the SCBA Rules, judgments of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in SCBA Vs. B.D. Kaushik, long standing practice and convention, the Election Committee will finalise the SCBA Voters List-2014 for the Election to be held on 17.12.2014. Therefore, Hon’ble members who may have any grievance to make with regard to inclusion of their names in the SCBA Voters List 2014, may address their representation to the Chairman, Election Committee and give in the SCBA Office at the earliest.
