The Executive and Legislative Branches played a serious blame game this year. Today I happened to watch the press conference and of all the bills passed, hardly any generated revenue for this territory. This is ONE of the powers vested to the 1st branch of government. Yes the executive branch mis-managed funds but the 1st branch generated little revenue. So naturally, what happens is an economic crisis. I plead with the 31st Legislature to come up with revenue generating ideas. I might offend some on my friends list but I just had to kindly post my thoughts. Both branches fell extremely short of their elected duties. Now I dont expect anyone to come on this status to defend the madness that has happened. Part of us growing as a territory is to admit that we messed up, accept responsibility, pick up the pieces and move on and learn from our mistakes. Its that simple.
