The Eyes That Will Haunt Me Forever. This story has a very happy ending but every one of my friends here that has been involved with the galgo has probably seen these eyes before. What will always haunt me is the fact that this poor tiny 2-3 month old defenseless puppy was abandoned to the streets of Spain and most likely stepped into a large game hunters trap that tore a good part of her back paw off. How long did she exist in this condition? Why was this happening? Can anybody help me? Are all humans trying to kill me? Every time I look at these pictures I get a lump in my throat. So senseless, she harmed no one, she deserved to be protected. She is in her forever home now and growing up like any normal puppy should thanks to the wonderful volunteers from BaasGalgo and her new mommy. She is even somewhat of a rockstar now since her pictures circulated around the world and so many people are now following her progress. Her name is Anita and she is special.
