The FA-Cup win last May was great BUT it also got Wenger off the hook for yet another TOTAL collapse in the league title race. Last Jan Arsenal were top of the table, and Wenger showed contempt for the supporters and showed his lack of desire/ hunger to actually WIN THE TITLE by his actions, when he signs no one except an injured midfielder. That in a nutshell shows the mind-set of Wenger, he knew we was top of the table and that 4th (his only ambition) was a cert, so he made no effort to go all out to try and stay top until May (knowing that even if we dropped a couple of places/ 4th was easily achievable). This season however we defo wont be 1st in Jan, and im guessing we will be about 4th, so I reckon this time around he will actually buy a couple of average players to bolster the squad. SEEING AS HOW HIS BELOVED 4TH IS NOT SO DEFINATE THIS TIME AROUND. Its all about 4th place and CL qualification, for the ching ching £££$$$....Paul.
