The FB que asks Whats on your mind? My mind has been occupied all week-end with thoughts about Elsie Lopez, of Nashville, TN, and her wonderful service as my co-worker for many years at the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware who joined the heavenly choir a couple of days ago. She was more than a secretary......she was a partner in ministry, and a dear friend. We accomplished so much together that I could not have done without her faithful, efficient, and effective service. She truly was the unsung hero of the State Music Ministry. After retirement, she moved to Tennessee to be near her two married daughters, Diane Sharpe and Connie Hartzell, and her granddaughters. Diane announced her passing with these words: We ushered Mom into heaven last night playing and singing some of he favorite hymns. She was surrounded by her daughters and their husbands, six grandchildren (3 thru Face Time), a grandson-in-law, and a great granddaughter. What a way to go, Elsie! To Diane and Connie, and your entire family, Mary DeLaine and I extend our love and prayers.
