The FIRE is hot and it’s loud. It burns and it consumes everything in its path. It’s the place we sometimes find ourselves. A trouble in life that is completely and irrefutably out of our hands. No amount of wishing, hoping, manipulating, praying or fasting will change it! Whether its for a reason or a season it just is! It cannot and it will not be changed until God says Assignment complete! Mission accomplished! We can ask why, beg for change, throw a fit and get angry but it will not change the fact that God is taking us through a process of perfecting faith! Psalm 30:11-12 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever. The Hebrew word for “turned” in this scripture is haphak. It literally carries the idea of being turned over! It means to turn as a cake that is ready to be flipped. This same word is used in Hos. 7:8 Ephraim is a cake unturned meaning that Israel was like a cake burned on one side and underdone on the other, fit only to be tossed aside. Just as there is a proper time in the baking of a cake so there is proper timing and purpose in the direction that God has appointed my feet to walk and in the “proper time” a turnaround or a turnover is coming! He doesn’t want me half baked! He doesn’t want me unbalanced! God will not allow you to go through the fire and come out half changed!
