The FREE Australia Party - WILL BE - making utilities and in particular electricity, a top 5 (SA 2014) election issue. It may well have been Jimmy Olsen who sold it off but Labor have done NOTHING to abate the pain. BOTH Label and Libel are culpably negligent in lowering our standard of living and increasing costs. South Australia has the HIGHEST costs of electricity in Australia and Australia has the highest costs IN THE WORLD. Reading some of the comments in the Advertiser comments.. verrry interesting. FREE presented a cost comparison in AUD$ a while back between Australia and Taiwan (being a country as far removed from us culturally, NO natural resources and at least equal in their standard of living). At that time the average cost of electricity was $200 /month here and $40 in Taiwan. The averages of the things we looked at were 1/5 to 1/3 the cost in equivalent dollars to here.
