The Facebook memorialization process is a sham. Ive recently tried - TopicsExpress

The Facebook memorialization process is a sham. Ive recently tried to memorialize my Moms page, provided all the information they asked for in their valid request process, and was promised an email follow-up that never came. Then...I did it again. It literally only took me a minute to give them what they asked for, but both times they promised we will follow up very shortly with an email. And they didnt . Either time. So I went to to the Help section user forums...and found out that this is happening to almost everybody. And has been for years. Shame on you Facebook. Shame on you for continuing to recommend my deceased mother as a new friend to people who know me. Shame on you for having an algorithm that produces my dear Moms face and profile anytime I type the letters m and o in succession. ( thinking Im typing about my mom.) Shame on you for putting out press in 2009 that you had an account memorialization process when you obviously dont. And shame on you for running a company that has no telephone number for anyone to call. And finally, shame on you for making me block my own deceased mom to make it stop. This might not be a big deal to some...but it might become one when you have a parent, sibling, or heaven forbid a child, pass away. Their process as described in 2009 was a great approach. Too bad they wont execute it. Rant over.
