The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Cologne invites applications for a tenured professorship (W2) in Botany. The appointment will be in the Cologne Biocenter. Applicants should have an outstanding record of academic achievements in „Molecular genetics and/or ecology of photosynthetic eukaryotes”. A research approach at the organismic level that includes modern genomic resources is of particular interest. The successful candidate is expected to participate in interdisciplinary research collaborations within the Biocenter, the Faculty and with the Max-Planck Institute for Plant Breeding. He/She will participate fully in the teaching programs in biology, especially in organismic biology. Qualification requirements are in accord with the North Rhine-Westphalia University Law and include a habilitation or equivalent qualifications.
