The Fast Rafts Captain Kate Spencer is on vacation this week, which is why there are no trips scheduled until the weekend. However, whale numbers are still spectacular. Whale watchers on other boats had one humpback breach over 50 times yesterday, with periodic pauses to tail-lob and to slap its pectoral fins. They also had breaching Rissos dolphins and huge numbers of common dolphins. While such excitement cant be guaranteed every trip, we have been seeing whales breach on a regular basis, with surface lunge feeding every few days, dolphins somewhat regularly, and even killer whales a week ago. And it shows no sign of letting up any time soon. Come on out and enjoy it while it lasts! Trips resume this Saturday, October 18th.
