The Fasting & Prayer App—Day 14 of 21. Lord of the harvest, you want everyone to hear the good news of Jesus. I praise you for those who brought his message to me. And I pray you will use me to pass it on to others. Free me from the snare of fearing rejection or disapproval. Give me courage to speak up! I thank you as well for our international workers in the Christian & Missionary Alliance, who leave home and country to learn another language and culture so that people elsewhere can hear about Jesus. Refresh them, Lord. Empower them to press on when the harvest is slow in coming. Provide their financial needs, I ask. Guide me to how you would have me contribute financially to the Great Commission Fund that enables them to serve where you have called them. I pray for yChurch member Marcus Little, who is teaching at a Bible college in Saipan. Fill him with your Spirit as he invests in workers who will plant churches throughout Asia. Provide for our members Dick and Marj Gibson as they raise funds to visit Saipan this September. As they go, I ask that you give them and the school leaders your wisdom to discern if you’re calling them to move to Saipan to minister there—Marj using her library science training, and Dick to teach business classes. May all the decision-makers discern your good, pleasing, and perfect will. “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field”…While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off…You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth… “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
