The Fathers Heart It is impossible to have strong faith with a wrong understanding of God. If you see Him as an austere judge who is always looking to uncover the sin in you life, you will not love Him but rather fear Him. Jesus came to reveal our God as first of all a Father. It is the knowledge at a heart level that God is your Father that aligns you with His grace. A sin conscious heart will retreat from the presence or be ashamed to come boldly to the throne of grace. When you realize that your Father so loved you that He sent His Son to provide perfect righteousness for you so you would be at home in His presence, you then will grow effortlessly as you spend time with Him. Our Gods father heart is addictive! As you come to find the place prepared for you in His presence you realize this is what you were created for! It is in His presence - without shame - that is fullness of joy. Jesus opened the Way so you could find and enjoy you place in Him. He is not looking for you performance, but a life-giving relationship.
