The Fed Puts Tapering on Hold. This morning, (19/9/13, 4.00, Australian EST) the US Federal Reserve announced that it would not commence tapering, yet. Most of us had anticipated some tapering to commence this week, yet this was despite contrary market signals from the charts. This vexed question of tapering and the question of sufficient US economic improvement as its threshold issue, will now be with us for some time.
