The Ferguson Commission will next focus its efforts on the issues facing those under 25 in the St. Louis region at a youth summit on Saturday, Jan. 10. The Commission invites those from 14 - 24 years of age to share their thoughts on what it takes for young people to learn, grow and thrive in their communities, schools and families. “We are committed to listening to all the voices in our community – especially those of the youth,” said Commission Co-Chairs Rev. Starsky Wilson and Rich McClure. “In the past year, the young people in our region have forced the St. Louis area – and the nation – to look deeply at issues in our society. They are not only the future of our region, but their voices are critical in creating positive, long-term change.” The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room at St. Louis Community College - Florissant Valley’s Student Center, 3400 Pershall Road, St. Louis 63135.
