The FijiFirst party manifesto promised 91,250 litres of free water - TopicsExpress

The FijiFirst party manifesto promised 91,250 litres of free water per year to every Fijian household earning less than a total annual income of $30,000. However, Infrastructure Minister Lieutenant Colonel Pio Tikoduadua now says this is going to require a lot of ‘paperwork’ so the initiative is not subjected to abuse. “But definitely at the beginning of next year it is going to come out.” Pio better get up to speed a bit quicker than this. We need pipes, not paperwork, and those pipes need water to come out them. Working out which households earn less than $30,000 is going to be a problem, but it should not be used as an excuse for not honouring a promise.
