The Firechicken iz home. Yaaaaa! It turned out real nice. It was bound and determined to make me do everything twice, or 3 times even. But it came through just fine. Had i worked on it more often im sure i could have done it quicker. Its funny how you forget small things when you havent done it in a while. 1 gigantic huge THANK YOU to Lance Bessette at Grumpies Garage in Ocala. Lance is the man! He gave me full access to his awesome shop where i could come and go as i pleased to work on it. Its always touchie at first with a fresh engine. She purred all the way home. I would also like to thank Bettie G. Bessette. And special thank you to John DeLorean for his awesome eye when it came to body design. These are some of the best looking cars ever in my eye. We got a lot done on it. I removed all the braided steel fuel lines and replaced it with factory steel lines. Got rid of the noisy electric fuel pump and replaced it with a factory fuel pump. Sealed up the transmission. Redesigened a factory crossmember to allow access to the tranny pan without having to remove the crossmember. idk why they did not do that from the factory. we helped. took out the worne out engine and replaced it with the engine that used to be in my 1969 yellow gto. the heads are quite shaved and have the big valves. It has a crapload of compression so normal pump gas wont do it. so it is to the sunoco station for the leaded 110 octane.racing fuel to mix with 92-3 octane. like it should be. i need around 96 to 98 octane fuel. i got the windshield wipers working too. FUN FUN FUN, she is a runner.
