YOU SHALL NOT HAVE STRANGE GODS BEFORE ME. ＊ Do I believe in God and in the teachings of the Catholic Church, or I gave in to the sins of atheism (denying the existence of God) or disobedience to the Pope and his ministers? * Did I nourish my Catholic Faith by readings, lectures, and seminars, or I let it wither and die out of culpable ignorance and neglect? * Did I ever commit the sins of heresy (believing in false teaching), apostasy (abandoning the Catholic Church), or schism (fomenting division among the faithful)? * Did I practice a regular prayer life and love God with my whole heart, or I treated him with ingratitude and indifference? * Did I fall in the sins of idolatry by believing in false Gods, or by idolizing wealth, power and pleasure? * Did I involve myself with superstitious practices, fortune telling, horoscopes, the occult, or divination? * Did I everyield to the sins of despair (losing hope in salvation) or presumption ( misguided self-righteousness)? * Did I ever commit the sin of sacrilege by receiving Holy Communion in a state of mortal sin, or by conceiling some mortal sins in my precious Confessions?
